Udaipur is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and India.

Udaipur is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and India. This means that there are many interesting experiences waiting for you. When I arrived in Udaipur with udaipur taxi services (from Jaipur), there was no set itinerary. I just wanted to explore the city of lakes and walk as much as possible. Apart from the numerous touristy attractions that are well worth it; Udaipur has a dazzling repertoire of offbeat places to see and offbeat experiences on offer.

Offbeat has evolved over the years to be a varied word. Many of the listings are close to Udaipur's most popular tourist attractions, but very few people visit them all. To help you plan your next visit, I will also mention how much money was spent on these experiences.

Udaipur Heritage Walk

Slowly touring around Udaipur's old city is a great way to learn more about its heritage. You can either do the heritage walk by yourself or join one of the walking tour companies. There is also a clock tower on the Udaipur heritage trail.

We also have the opportunity to see traditional shops and witness ceremonies at various temples, among other rural experiences along the heritage walk. It is a good idea to try the local delights of Udaipur while on the heritage walk. You might find a hidden historical treasure from centuries past by having a cup of chai at one the thelas in the old section.

Natraj Thali

This was a difficult one for me. It is hard to eat out when you're staying at a relative's house. My cousin and I went to the most well-known place in town one day. We decided to visit the older Natraj Restaurant in Udaipur as there are now two.

Even though it was a weekday, there was no waiting time. Natraj Restaurant was crowded with locals. We ate like there were no tomorrows when the food was served. It was delicious and there were many tasty options. It cost around 150 rupees. It was a bit pricey, but it was worth it for the authentic Natraj Restaurant.

The Government Museum is located within the City Palace Complex

The City Palace Museum is the most popular place in Udaipur. However, tourists tend to ignore this tiny museum. The Government Museum's entrance gate is located near the City Palace Museum. Strangely, you can enjoy the entire museum by yourself since there are very few visitors. One of the main reasons to visit the Government Museum is its extensive collection, which includes ancient scripts and statues.

Based on factual details: The 1890 Government. The Victoria Hall Museum was the original name of the Museum in Udaipur. It was established at Sajjan Niwas by Maharana Fateh Singh and moved to Karan Vilas, in 1968. It houses a variety of interesting objects including miniature paintings, stone sculptures and coins.
